Opening Checklist

Classroom Cleaning Checklist (Throughout the Day)

Clean toys and materials used outdoors, wipe surfaces as needed, and cover furniture or spaces that could become weathered over time. (________ Initial)

Clean and sanitize any used outdoor toys and equipment.
Store equipment safely and securely away.
Pick up any trash or debris.
Sweep or rake any leaves or fallen materials.
Wipe down any exposed surfaces, like tables or benches.
Cover furniture or spaces to protect from weather, if necessary.

Infant Room Checklist

Closing Procedures

Put any items in the washing machine into the dryer and begin a normal cycle. (________ Initial)

Check to make sure each classroom:

All CD/Radios are off. (________ Initial)
For classrooms with exterior doors, make sure those doors are locked. (________ Initial)
Lock door(s) to the yard(s). (________ Initial)
Make sure all the dishes have been cleaned and/or loaded into the dishwasher. (________ Initial)
Put away any food or items left in the kitchen. (________ Initial)
After all the children have been picked up...
Make sure the “closing room” is clean(tables wiped down, chairs stacked, toys put away). (________ Initial)
